Borrower Responsibility

Prior to receiving your loan, you will be required to attend an entrance counseling session. This session will be conducted by your school financial aid office. During this session, you will receive information about your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower. Some of the most important things to remember are:

• The name of your FFELP Stafford lender, where to send your payments, and where to write or call if you have questions
• A reminder of available options for loan repayment options and that you can repay your loan without penalty at any time
• Notification that you must provide your permanent address and the name and address of your employer
• You must also provide any corrections to your school's records concerning your name, Social Security number, references, and driver's license number
